MY⚡️FI MONDAY

Risks, Hot Hands, and Guitar Moves

MY⚡️Feature

Keep Going
I was chatting with my wife a few days ago about the risk of making art. It’s a big risk to put yourself out there, to actually commit to breathing something into this world that wasn’t before, to find the time and the resources to actually make it happen.

It’s all a risk to varying degrees. I know people who have abruptly quit their day jobs to pursue creativity full-time, I know people who create on the weekends in hopes of it being their full time job someday, and I know people who will always be part time creatives. All of that is ok. The biggest thing I want to tell you today is to KEEP GOING.

Don’t let anything stop you from creating the next thing that you want to create.

Don’t let your age stop you. Don’t let your day job stop you. Don’t let the naysayers stop you. Don’t let your finances stop you. Don’t let being a part-time creative make you feel like less of a creative. Don’t let anything discourage you from making the next thing you want to make.

You may not have everything you need, but you probably have something. You have one friend in your corner, you have a little bit of money, you have a little bit of time… find what you do have a just get started on the next thing.

You may not have everything you need to create the thing that you want to create the most, but you have enough to create the next thing you need to create.

I just want to encourage you to keep going.

Just like every other creative, I too have weeks that I get discouraged and the momentum isn’t there and the every day worries of life pile up, but I find that I’m the best version of myself when I’m making things. It’s just how we are wired. Even if it’s just creating something small. The world needs your unique creativity so please keep going. Go make your next thing.

I coach creatives all the time and I would love to help you. If creative coaching is something that you’re interested in then sign up for a FREE 30 min call to check it out.

MY⚡️Finds

cool stuff I found this week

Light
I finally found a light that works for making social media posts in my dark office that wasn’t crazy expensive. It was such a great deal that I think I’m actually about to buy a second one. It’s super simple and comes with a great stand. If you’re in the market for such an item… Check it out here.

Hot Hands
I was on a video set recently shooting several music videos in a freezing warehouse and these old things saved the day for the band. If you work outside for any reason you need to keep a few of these with your gear during the winter for those freezing days when you still have to get the job done. Get some.

Sunheist
Sunheist sunglass are without a doubt my favorite sunglasses out there. I have several pair because they hold up, they’re affordable, and the owner is a great dude. Check out their site and find something you dig! www.sunheist.com
